Note to Applicants
This is an advanced course on consciousness and its role in creating our food and renewing our environment. It is intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually challenging and rewarding. The course places the subjective approach to gaining knowledge in its rightful place at the foundation of the objective approach, to create truly holistic knowledge that spans the full range of life. The course offers a new paradigm for agricultural and environmental relationships.
About the course
We are in a critical time to preserve and enhance the purity of our food and environment. It is essential to rebalance, harmonise and support our natural systems and the human interactions with those systems.
This course on Consciousness, Food, Physiology, and the Environment is intended as a training programme in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and Environmental Relationships for directors of these programmes around the world. It can also be taken as a general knowledge course on the role that consciousness and natural law play in agriculture, food, sustainability, and the environment.
The course offers you the opportunity to understand and experience the dynamic and interactive relationship between our consciousness, feelings, thoughts and perceptions, and the consciousness and lively intelligence of our environment.
This course is the first of its kind on consciousness and its manifestation in and as the environment, and represents a unique opportunity to share the development of all of Maharishi’s knowledge on food, agriculture and the environment with course leaders Dr John and Sara Konhaus, who worked personally with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for over 40 years to develop it.
The knowledge in the course comes from both modern and traditional sources, giving it the authenticity of time-tested traditions, and the applicability of current, cutting-edge science and technology. For those willing to immerse themselves in it, the course will add a new dimension to the role that consciousness plays in farming, food production, health, and environmental relationships. It provides a new perspective on the world around us.
Combining modern and traditional knowledge, with abundant examples, rich visuals and videos, and interactive activities, participants become immersed in Nature’s web of life, and learn to see how Nature’s structure and holistic intelligence guides and directs the specific activity in any natural system, with particular emphasis on our farming systems. This experience and understanding establish the essential unity between man and his environment, based on their common source in consciousness.
All Transcendental Meditation Teachers, Sidhas and Meditators are welcome to join this online course.
The practical application of creating a quality relationship with our living environment is multifold:
more support of nature for successful farming and environmental management;
a more profound ability to create sustainable interactions with nature by understanding its structure and processes,
and a deeper understanding and experience of how to infuse nature’s complete intelligence into our food, creating a quality of food capable of supporting the development of full human potential.
Topics in the course include:
Principles and practices of a consciousness-based approach to food production and environmental sustainability,
Structure of nature from the modern and traditional perspectives,
An in-depth study of the expression of intelligence including plant awareness, communication and behaviour,
System dynamics and how they operate in natural environments,
Techniques for waking up nature’s intelligence within ourselves and the environment,
The role that pure, vital food plays in our creativity and intelligence, in our personal development, and our health and success,
Applying the knowledge gained to our personal lives and activities, to our communities, countries, and throughout the world to create true global sustainability
